The Medium Behind the Message - Workshop by André Goncalves

A workbench approach to multimedia interfaces and sensor based installations. This will be an introductory workshop on physical computing platforms, based on different programmable i/o boards, and their different programming languages. It will be a hands-on-it process to create one piece for the Untitled #06 installation, to be presented in The Upgrade! exhibition.

DIY Tour Guide: Workshop by Tae-Yoon Choi

Local residents will create and sell the route of their morning walk with the help of a Do-It-Yourself tour kit. The routes will be collected in an online marketplace where participants can choose the walk they will take.

Workshop investigates local water quality using artist-developed eco-visualization software, which transforms the physical results into a “readable” visual image. Participants should bring water samples from local ponds, rivers, lakes, or even their home tap in a recycled plastic bottle.

This festival started in Skopje and Sofia as collaborative D.I.Y. open source music festival between Skopje (Toni) and Sofia (Kyd) in February 2006. For the Tiny Noise Festival in OKC, Kyd and Tony will be finding local sound artists to participate in the event.
