Jan Wood Semrod's Heart Conditions
February 10 - April 1, 2001
Jan Wood Semrod's exhibit Heart Conditions consisted of small shrine-like hanging sculptures of mixed-media hearts. Each heart explored a theme related to the human condition such as hope, fear, terror, joy, envy, etc. Semrod stated about the works, "Above all, art should make you feel and perhaps even undermine your sense of reality in order to make you reconsider all that you think you know."
