(Hosted in our main gallery if the weather does not permit) The tables and garden will be filled with art that can be purchased at the dinner to support local artists.

An evening to remember!

By 7:00 PM, take a seat at your table where your first course, aperitivo, will be waiting for you! While you enjoy your apertivo, a server will come to pour you your first glass of wine, and soon after, the chef will introduce herself and the following course.

After your 3rd course, your second glass of wine will be poured, and Chef Iodice will talk you through the rest of the meal. If you would like an extra glass of wine, you may purchase it at the bar.

Your last course, served at 8:15 PM, will be dessert plated on ceramic dishes created by one of our Mentor students, Eric Martinez. Many of the objects on your table will be hand made and for sale by the following artists:

Water glasses by Amy Sanders De Melo, Decorative table sculptures by Paul Medina, Vases by Corporeal Ceramics, Amy Sanders De Melo, and AnnaVittoria Conner-Pickett, sculpture by Dan Garrett, and placeholders made by Ariana Weir for each guest to take home as a memento.

If you are a fan of local art and delicately crafted Italian cuisine, this is the event for you. Please help us support our mission by purchasing a ticket and spreading the word!

ABOUT CHEF IODICE:

Chef Iodice was raised in S. Maria Capua Vetere, a small town in Campania, just about 20 miles north of Naples. She was taught to cook through delicate moments with family and oral histories of Italian cuisine. Her interest in cooking started as a child when she developed a love for watching her grandmother Rosa in the kitchen. Rosa wasn't a showy cook; she cooked sincere, traditional, and utterly delicious Neapolitan food that nurtured the soul. She measured by eye and cooked with her heart. Iodice's father had a unique flair for presentation and loved to cook unusual or more elaborate dishes. From her aunts, she learned a lot about baking, making desserts, and fresh pasta. From her mother, it was gnocchi, the best! Everyone in her family added to her knowledge of ingredients and how to prepare them.

After she moved to the US, she realized how important cooking was to her life. Cooking meant keeping traditions alive; it meant keeping in touch with roots and her family so far away. Every time she cooks, she is brought back to her house and those Sunday meals with everyone gathered around table sharing food, laughter, and love.

She hopes to create this same atmosphere at ARTSPACE on October 8th, in the sublime little Sculpture Garden in the middle of the Deep Deuce district of Oklahoma City. Chef Iodice will introduce you to the seven courses made with care and paint a picture of traditional Italian gatherings. A small piece of Italy brought to you in exchange for your support in ARSTPACE's mission and free programming.
