SCREEN PRINTING BASICS: Make A Concert Poster with Kees Holterman!

Screen printing basics: Make A Concert Poster with Kees Holterman!

Taught by Kees Holterman (Silk screen printing) and AnnaVittoria Conner-Pickett (Procreate)

Friday and Saturday, September 16th and 17th

9-3 PM each day. Ages 12 and Up. Free Parking Provided. Fridge to hold your lunch and 45-minute lunch break during each session. 12-12:45.

Project Size: 11x17

An attendee walks away with basic Procreate knowledge, transparency of design, and a printed edition of 10 posters with the ability to print more due to time.

The goal of this course is not necessarily to create concert posters but to learn how to utilize Procreate to create digital images that can be printed with top-of-the-line transparency printers and then be used for silk screens. The concert poster can be geared towards an actual event coming up or can be created for fun based on a past concert or fictional event. How the class is broken up: On day one, participants are to come prepared with a sketch of their desired poster. By the end of the first session, you will know how to use Procreate, coat a silkscreen, and mix inks! You will be working with both instructors this day. On day two, you will learn how to burn screens, print your edition, and work solely with Kees Holterman! All supplies will be provided, and after taking this course, you will be given the green light to purchase day passes in the ARTSPACE silk screen studio whenever you want!
