Café Society: Inspiring Conversations with Jeff Krisman

Join us on Thursday, January 10th, from 6-7:30 PM for a free night of inspiring conversations with Jeff Krisman! The Inspiring Conversations OKC Podcast presents unique and seldom heard opportunities for listeners to connect on a human level with local artists, creative professionals, and influential, local business leaders in a longform interview format that is free of advertising of any kind.

These interviews are unscripted, in the moment, with no agenda whatsoever and provide an intimate opportunity for the audience to hear about their influences, how their work has evolved, and about formative lessons learned on their life journeys.

-Local guitar innovator Jared Lowery will bring Kangwa Mundende and Willie Peterson to share some songs from his recent albums, Analog Earth and Dinner With The Grays as well as a couple of new tunes. We will also hear from Jared regarding his deeper thoughts about jazz rock fusion and the connection between this music and Carnatic music from India and other types of devotional music from around the world and why this musical style influences him in a powerful way.

-Performance and visual artist Paul Waddell, who recently moved to OKC from Los Angeles in 2018 will speak about his unique perspective regarding contemporary art and how it’s about so much more than the art itself. Paul has done exclusive speaking engagements at various universities in the area over the past several months.

-Local comedian and promoter Lenny Vanhornwill bring a panel of comedians to talk about how their life experiences shape their comedic perspectives and their processes. Panel members include Julie Drake, Jeremy Westbrook, and Angel Hamilton.

Refreshments and complimentary snacks will be served. Please park in the rear of the building by the north entrance on 4th street. We look forward to seeing you there!
