Virtual Performance "Influences: Combining Classical Guitar and Visual Art”

Please join us for this unique collaborative virtual concert with siblings, Claire and Collin Holloway. In this concert, they have paired five works of art with five pieces of classical music.

About Claire and Collin:

Since a young age, Claire and I have lived with both visual art and classical music as a daily aspect of our lives. The individual pursuit of our art forms is an experience we are able to share as brother and sister, which has created a unique bond between us. Bettering yourself at any art form is most often an individual and highly personal process. Therefore, it is a rare experience to be able to share this process with someone who not only loves the beauty of art as much as you do but who is as inherently close to you from the beginning of your life as any person can be.
The goal of our idea is to unite the two art forms into a conglomerate, where the subject matter is the same in both the visual art and the music. Through the deliberate pairing of certain pieces of art with certain pieces of music, we hope to be able to create an experience where each art form elevates the meaning and expression of the other. When executed correctly, we believe this can create a meaningful and profound experience; one which is not encountered often since these arts are usually intended to be self-contained. To a large degree, this is an experiment to see what will happen when this rule is broken.
We thank you for your interest in this event, as this an incredibly meaningful experience for the two of us not only as siblings but also as young artists.
Sincerely,
Collin and Claire Holloway
