Class Description:

  • Introduction To Stop Motion Animation Workshop is aimed at demystifying the stop motion animation process and easing the learning curve for anyone interested in giving it a try, regardless of any previous experience. Over a 2 hour class period, participants will receive an introductory presentation on the basics of stop motion animation and then be invited to create their own animations. Materials will be provided, but participants are encouraged to bring a simple object or two that they’re interested in animating. That could mean a bit of clay, or a small toy, but there will also be an assortment of objects on hand for participants to work with. The goal of the workshop is for participants to gain enough experience and understanding in stop motion animation in order to feel confident in their own ability to continue exploring the art form afterwards.
