9th Annual Steamroller Printmaking Art Festival

Date: Saturday, October 3, 2026
Time: 10am - 6pm
Location: ARTSPACE at Untitled, 1 NE 3rd St Oklahoma City, OK 73104

Join us for one of the most dynamic art events in Oklahoma City—the Steamroller Printmaking Art Festival at ARTSPACE at Untitled! This highly anticipated annual celebration brings together artists, art enthusiasts, and the community for a day filled with creativity, collaboration, and hands-on experiences. We are shifting the festival to the fall 2026 to ensure the Mentorship Program students can attend.

At the heart of the festival is the thrilling spectacle of large-scale printmaking. Using an industrial steamroller as a printing press, local and regional artists create stunning oversized prints right before your eyes. These bold and intricate works of art transform the traditional printmaking process into a captivating public performance, merging artistry with ingenuity.

The festival offers something for everyone:

  • Interactive Art Stations: Try your hand at printmaking, from monotypes to block printing, with guidance from experienced artists.

  • Food Trucks and Vendors: Savor delicious bites from food trucks and browse unique items from local makers and artisans.

  • Family-Friendly Fun: Bring the kids for art activities designed to spark their creativity and imagination.

  • Artist Market: Explore a curated selection of prints, handmade goods, and art from talented local and visiting artists, with the chance to take home a one-of-a-kind piece.

The Steamroller Printmaking Art Festival embodies the spirit of ARTSPACE at Untitled by fostering community, showcasing diverse talent, and celebrating the transformative power of art. Whether you're an art collector, a curious beginner, or simply looking for a unique cultural experience, this festival is not to be missed!

History of the Festival

In 2013, ARTSPACE at Untitled inaugurated its first Steamroller Printmaking Art Festival, drawing over 100 attendees to the Deep Deuce District. By 2017, the festival had grown substantially, prompting us to collaborate with local businesses and organizations. The eve of the festival saw the introduction of a lively Cinco de Mayo mixology party featuring live music, meet-and-greet sessions with Big Ink artists, and culinary delights from some of Oklahoma City's premier establishments.

The dedication of our talented artists, volunteers, sponsors, and collaborators played a pivotal role in transforming the festival into a day-long celebration. In 2018, the momentum continued with an expansion that included over 250 participating artists and the support of our sponsors. The festival became a platform for students from our Mentorship Program, college students, and artists from across the state and region to showcase their talents and engage with the community.

The Steamroller Printmaking Art Festival involves a fascinating process of using a steamroller( asphalt press) as a printing press. Participants carve intricate designs onto massive woodblocks, which are then inked and pressed onto fabric using the sheer force of a steamroller , thus creating a giant stamp.

The Steamroller Printmaking Art Festival has grown yearly and is proud to have over 2,500 visitors. The festival's success and expansion underscore its journey from a modest start to a thriving annual event showcasing the collective impact of the Oklahoma art scene—join us in celebrating creativity and community in 2026.
